Readers are EXCITED!!

Today I write again.. Can’t tell you how privileged and spoiled I feel to just relax and veg and write at my leisure here this summer of 2018 at AJ’s home. I feel inspired beyond measure. I now have four different friends who are working on writing projects from Novels to screenplays to non fiction to ghost writing and it feels so good to have others in my circle now who GET where I am coming from when I speak of this passion we have inside to create content. Four years ago today It was only a couple months into publish and i had a huge flurry of excited readers who had been waiting for my book to hit the stands/ebook. Here’s one message.. I cannot TELL you what messages like this and many other messages of support over the years mean and MEANT to me as a first-time author at age 65!! It motivated me to carry on with book 2 (which is still in progress and will eventually be a feature film) and the rest of the series, It has inspired me and told me it was all worth it!! Here was the post to me.. ~~ Lisa […]

5 STAR REVIEW!!!

Author Pamela Lee’s testimony speaks for hundreds and thousands of women all over the world. Will this down-toearth, caring, kindhearted maiden’s future be “filled with love? Or filled with unspeakable despair?” The Highest Mountain; the Deepest Valley The Void of a Broken Heart The picture-perfect family. It’s one of the most desired, attainable, and ideal images conceivable to the human heart and spirit, with many of us dreaming and fantasizing of establishing our own family someday. Just like Annie Magyar. This piercing and emotive autobiography unfolds the many diverse chapters of Author Pamela Lee’s eventful and gripping story, with Annie Magyar, the main character, representing the author. As a youngling, Annie lives blanketed in unadulterated love, happy and content with an abundance of compassion, and securely nestled in the safety of principle, nourishment, family, and tradition. Immediately, it’s easy to interpret that she (who also goes by the name ‘Annie’; ‘Anna Belle’, ‘Anna Lee’ and ‘J’ throughout the story) is indeed a spirited leader with a genuine, zealous will to live life happy, and to the fullest degree! In the beginning, Author Lee efficiently exemplifies the natural “infectious” internal light little Annie possesses by recapping the earlier years of her […]

How cowardly of me to be fearful….

I FORGET SOME DAYS THAT I AM A PUBLISHED AUTHOR for I have stepped away from it, giving in to the emotion of fear of rejection simply because my first novel has not been a smashing success. Units sold wise, that is. Albeit, my reviews have been fabulous. From what I have been told, countless times, many who DO read Call me J, book one of my Holy Snappin’ Trilogy, are bereft as they take in that last sentence. They WANT protagonist Annie to continue on in their lives! It’s a thing every writer craves. We all dream about Readers falling in love with our characters. Still…… YOU who are reading this and nodding your heads will understand as you read on. You who are, like me, a dreaded ‘indie author’ who sweats the same blood as a ‘REAL” published author, then sweats even more blood once it becomes a reality. An actual BOOK book. Yep, you. YOU know what I mean here. I digress. Back to the point at hand.. How cowardly of me to be fearful. It is so unlike the writer that I was that produced the manuscript in the first place. SO. Going along with what […]

AND the reader gave me FOUR stars!!! wootwoot…… *********From the moment I started reading Call Me J I was hooked. It’s a book that you can’t put down and don’t want to end savoring every moment in between. This crazy family will have you laughing, crying and your blood boiling within a few pages. Never before have I felt such a connection with a character as in Call Me J. When I got to the end I sat for a moment just taking in all of adventures, heartaches and celebrations Annie faced. The book is nicely written and from a first time author I found it easy to follow. I am definitely ready for the second book of this trilogy.*******

I was born with a reading list I shall never finish!

“Library in my mind” Awww yes.. Books… Our saving grace when we are in despair and need solace….. Our teachers. Our comedians when we need to laugh. Our heart’s desire when we need to imagine great love and passion. Our roadmaps to motivate and inspire us. Our Angels when we feel to give up.. We all NEED books.. They are our companions in life.. And once read and taken into our soul, a thing that NO ONE can steal from us… For we OWN the words then.. Forever and ever. Pamela–May-2015 —

PUBLISHED TWO years ago a month from today!

Looking back to the final touches before I published Call me J–TWO YEARS AGO!! Can you believe it??? Here was my post April4-2014. ~~ I will Inform you all with the link as soon as it is live–within 4-5 weeks it will FINALLY be available in paperback or on Amazon as an e book!! Here is the final synopsis David, Jennifer and I came to… A Boomer’s Truth Trilogy Synopsis –Book 1 Call me J Historical events and pop-cultural reminders abound and mingle with the lives of this seemingly typical Boomer family. Spanning and including over 50 years, this funny, forthright, down-to-earth but melodramatic chronicle begins in the early stages in protagonist Annalee’s family’s lives, with the infamous Hurricane Hazel, taking young child Annie, in 1954 to her stormy mid-thirties in Book 1, Call me J. The author takes a naive high school dropout country gal on unexpected journeys so varied as to be pooh-poohed as unlikely in one lifetime. Annie, born ‘different’ from her sibs but happily approaching a decided future from a tiny town in southwestern Ontario, Canada ventures, instead, to a life of magical adventure. Or misadventure. Reader’s choice. This honest, memoir-style trilogy will have you saying […]

This is IT!!!

Yes, I dooo have a personal life tucked into this Pammyland persona and it’s gonna be humming—soon! Here’s the latest taken from my very own  Facebook Page. Like Oh MY God!!! You will NOT believe what my precious daughter-not-o-my-womb has done now in support of me and Call me J! A few days ago Trish Patrie, my wondrous editor for T.E.S Agency pm’d me to give me the heads up–Ellen is looking for THE best in books. That was it for our Jennifer..She spent the ENTIRE weekend crafting two letters.. One for the production team -set within the cover of th…e first book she mailed..detailing the amazing reviews Call me J has received from anyone who has read it thus far..and why they should pass this book on the Ellen.. The SECOND was a letter directly to Ellen–with an impassioned plea to read my story (which she put detail by detail in the letter–oh, my!) and then read Call me J..THAT second book was a personal copy for the star..Is that not an awesome thing to gift me with, everyone??? Jennifer…Since the very beginning, you have been the most incredible support– Day by day you have been by my side in […]

“Enough” is NEVER acceptable..

Today is the day to remind myself of the reason..and to remember that ”enough” is NEVER acceptable. Call me J has ben called ‘magnificent” and movie-worthy more often that you could imagine… But it has technical flaws. For starters, it is gigantic and much too daunting for the average reader. I thank each and every one fo you who did take her on, become engaged and finish the novel..I m blessed. … SO-i must finish making these changes to make it palpable for all. I need to carry on and get the next book edit complete to ride with the momentum of Call me J.. I must make things happen so that my signature becomes my autograph..and yes–people in the industry want to quote me–and copy me.. I want the publishing company in NYC that currently has Call me J in review to call me and say–“WE WANT YOUR BOOK!!!” At my current rate–it is simply not enough.. Time to make it MUCH MORE THAN ENOUGH!! Onwards .. @BoomerNovel www.pamelaleeauthor.com

Fabulous Book Review!!!

OMGosh!! This review in today for Call me J from my dear friend, Tim from Missouri.THANK YOU VERRYY MUCH TIM!! ~~~~~~I’ve always been known as a voracious reader. Now, granted, many of the books I’ve read have poured through me like so much water in a pond. But some really stick with me. Call Me J is one of those books. Pamela Lee tells her tale with such honesty and aplomb that you can’t help to get sucked in, and actually CARE about the wonderful, messed up, ultimately hu…man characters described in her book. The writing is wonderfully off-the-cuff and has a bare knuckles approach that at times makes you cry, laugh, wince and groan, sometimes all at the same time. It’s the beginning tale of a life well lived but nowhere near finished. This is one book that I didn’t want to devour immediately. I read it slowly, deliberately and savored every word and character. The fact that these are all real people, actual living souls makes this work so much more satisfying. It will stay with me for a very long time… Timothy Barrett-Ford
